On the occasion of International Diabetes Day, we are pleased to invite you to a free conference open to everyone on prediabetes, which will be held on November 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the La Lignière Medical Center in Gland.

In partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim and the Réseau Santé La Côte, this event offers the opportunity to engage with specialist professionals.

In Switzerland, one in three people has type 2 diabetes without knowing it. This type of diabetes can occur at any age, and several lifestyle factors can increase the risk, such as:

• Lack of physical activity

• Unbalanced diet

• Excess weight

• High blood pressure

• Smoking, among others.

Our Speakers

Dr. Abdallah Roukain is the Medical Director of the La Lignière Medical & Therapeutic Center, specializing in endocrinology-diabetology and general internal medicine (FMH). He is also the lead physician for the Diabouest cantonal program.

Gabrielle Calderara is the Head of the Nutrition Department and Coordinator of the Diafood program at La Lignière. She specializes in the management of cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, obesity, digestive disorders, and allergies.
